Fabric Roses: A sewing workshop with Laurel Hoffmann

We are excited to offer this unique (non media) workshop with PhillyCAM Producer Laurel Hoffmann! 

She will bring some of the basic skills from her award-winning series Creating Fashion with Laurel , to PhillyCAM to help members of all ages design a unique fabric rose, just in time for the holidays!

We will make roses out of fabric It’s all handwork, eliminating the need for machinery. The results are stunning. The finished flowers are safety pinnned onto a jacket, coat or other outer garment. We will provide all materials, as well as some snacks and warm beverages! 

Skills learned: marking and cutting fabric on the bias, hand stitching, gathering.
