PhillyCAM at Peoplehood- Art Build

Join 1 or all build sessions to design, create and make art for Spiral Q's Annual Peoplehood Parade.  PhillyCAM hopes to join the Peoplehood parade this year. 

Everyone is welcome to help create the Peoplehood parade and pageant together this Fall in Spiral Q’s community art builds! All experience levels are invited to join in the puppet and prop building, paper machéing, cutting, painting, screen printing, sewing, idea-generating, and community building that lies ahead. We will be working with activists and community groups to create art for their protest and advocacy campaigns in the streets (and in the Peoplehood Parade) as well as developing and creating the Peoplehood Pageant!   Peoplehood is powered by the people after all. 

The parade will take place on Saturday October 15th from 1-3pm in West Philly!

PhillyCAM members will be meeting up on the following dates for our build:  Oct 4 & 6 @ 6-8pm AND Oct 8, 12-5pm. Come for an hour or 2 or all 3 sessions!

WHERE:  Art Builds will be happening at Spiral Q’s Studio/ Warehouse at 4247 W. Stiles St. Accessible by the 64 bus (2 min walk), the 15 trolley/bus (2 min walk),  the 10 trolley (9 min walk), 38 bus (11 min walk). Street parking is typically available.
